What does Boudoir photography mean?

First, let's start with the basics. A boudoir session is a luxury photo experience done in a bedroom setting to enhance the feeling of romance and richness. However, It is more than a photoshoot in lingerie, it serves as a reminder that you are courageous, strong, and beautiful.


For most people, having their photos taken half-naked is most certainly overcoming a huge fear! It can be a unique gift for your significant other, a celebration of important milestones, a sexual rediscovery, but most importantly a celebration of you.

What do I wear to a boudoir shoot?


Each photo shoot is custom tailored to your style. Some of my clients bring in pieces of lingerie from their own collection. If you’re looking for something a little different, maybe a little more spicy, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with the largest client closet in Salt Lake. The client closet features sizes from XS - XXL.

How much should I spend on my boudoir photographer?


Many boudoir photographers cost between $3,000 - $4,000 depending on packages, session fees and charges for other things. I’m very transparent about investment pricing, which you can find on my investment page.

Why do people take boudoir photos?

There are a number of reasons why my clients choose to do a boudoir shoot. Some common reasons are: gifts, milestone achievement, or just to feel good about themselves. Whatever the reason, every client of mine walks away more confident in their skin.



How should I prepare my body for a boudoir photo shoot?


You do you. You need to be as comfortable as possible. If you feel like you need to shave or wax beforehand, go for it. Please make sure you do it the day before. This gives the skin time to calm down in case there is razor burn.

What should you not bring to a boudoir session?


You don’t need to worry about a thing. With my boudoir sessions, you have access to hair and makeup services, as well as the largest selection of high end lingerie in Salt Lake City. I do not allow toys or props. These are strictly not allowed.


We also have a house rule about negative attitudes. Leave them in the car. This experience is designed to bring out the best in you, and a negative attitude puts a block in the way for you to get the most out of your boudoir session.

Do you have payment plans?


Yep! Sure do. I understand the financial commitment a boudoir shoot can be. If you are in need of a payment plan, please let me know. I work with my clients on a 1-1 basis on payment plans.

I don't know how to pose, will you help?


You betcha! With over 18 years of photography experience posing clients, I understand how to pose people of all body types. I will show you how to do the pose before putting you into that position, and will talk you through the process.

Do you Photoshop my images?


Each package includes retouched digital images. Unlike other styles, I do not touch up the photos to an unrealistic image. I enhance the images lighting, and will smooth out blemishes. I keep the images as close to the original as possible and enhance the area’s that bring out the best of the image.

Do you offer digital images?


Yes! I have two options. You can either have digital images included in the package you choose, or you can purchase them a la carte. Check out my boudoir investment page to see pricing for digital images and bundles.

What type of printed products do you have?


I offer a wide variety of printed products. Popular items include: luxury albums, gallery wraps, and prints with multiple finishes to choose from. I have a wide range of other products that are not listed on my investment page. During your photo reveal, we can discuss some of these other options.
